What we have learned is if mother inhales diesel exhaust particles either before pregnancy or during pregnancy, the offspring develops predisposition to asthma and what we are searching for now, we are trying to identify cells and molecules which are changed by diesel exhaust particles in offspring and how these changes affect predisposition to asthma in offspring.
