W e are home birth midwives that work at Well Rounded Momma and serve, the Las Vegas Valley. I never get that question. Okay never. Just all the time. Just all the time. What do you say when people bring that up to you? I think for the most part, partners are usually just worried about emergencies and so they usually just want to know like what happens if something like that arises? How often does that happen? The truth is we don’t have very many emergencies…

Basically, the baby now should weigh about four pounds, and be up to 48 centimeters, so getting really big now. His bones are hardening, may have hair, his immune system is totally developed now, so that’s good, and also, from now on he is going to put on about half a pound a week, so really getting nice and fat hopefully. 41 WEEKS PREGNANT | SWEEP, INDUCTION, SHOW & HAUL

    – I should not be making this update. I can’t believe that I’m filming my 41 week pregnancy update. I have never made it to 41 weeks before in my two other pregnancies. But this boy is being a little bit lazy. (laughs) Might possibly be some of my fault because obviously I so wanted a September baby so I kind of did everything I could to keep him in. I didn’t do the long walks or the bouncing on the birth ball or raspberry leaf tea or any of that, whereas with my previous boys I probably started all of that at like 38 weeks, but because I wanted…

Rebekah: Hey guys. It’s Bex here. I’m here with the beautiful Lindsey Bliss from Carriage House Birth in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. I’m here on kind of an emergency recon visit. I am pregnant. I need doula advice and I’ve been talking about it online and I’m getting all kinds of crazy feedback about doulas and my choice to get a midwife and have a home birth. Even though I’ve done this before, it has gotten people all rattled up. Lindsey: People like to get really riled up around birth. I don’t know why. It’s just something that … Rebekah: Because it’s the scariest thing to ever happen to you…

    30 & 31 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE

Hi guys, and welcome back to my pregnancy update. This is going to be my update for week 30 and 31. And I have got a top on, it’s just an off the shoulder one, don’t want to look to naked or something. Anyway, in this update I’m going to let you know any new symptoms I have been feeling, any new products and at…

Every Conversation About Childbirth Boils Down To How We See ‘Birth’

Okay. This is the Time I’m doing a lot of writing about childbirth and trying to de-confuse the language that’s been going on almost since I gave birth in 1970. I’ve learned (heaps) over the years of working with the Birthing Better families, who develop Birthing Better skills and being the Director of a Charitable Trust called Common Knowledge that houses these skills. In general when we talk about childbirth, we are talking about it from 3 directions. The #1 is a Truth that is Global… There’s no way to know what your birth is going to be like.’ Each of us who is a pregnant woman and each birthing woman…

Midwife Supervised Childbirth: Birth The Way Your Body Intended

Giving birth is actually a natural process. It’s not a disease. So there’s really no need to go to hospital to give birth. You can do a homebirth and have a licensed midwife with you in that process. I highly recommend it because when you give birth in a hospital, you’re at the discretion and the timeframe of the doctors who may want to go home, go play golf, go do whatever they want to do. They may speed up things, or whatever, but when you’re doing a homebirth, you’re actually on your time schedule. You get to decide, or your body gets to decide, how and when the baby…
